Vampire?? Hmm....
You Could Be a Vampire... If You Had To |
Like most people, the thought of being a vampire has crossed your mind. But you're not sure if you'd do it, even if you could. Living forever doesn't sound half bad, if you could live forever with the people you love the most. But do vampires even love? And would the vampire version of you even be you? It's all too much to contemplate. Luckily, the chances of you ever becoming a vampire are astronomically low. What you would like best about being a vampire: Living forever What you would like least about being a vampire: Blood stained teeth |

ZOMG!!!!!
Patricia Briggs is one such author.. her Mercy Thompson series has me hanging on every word and never lets me loose until the story is done. Thereby torturing me for another 11 months and 29 days until the next book is available.
I have her site marked and routinely go through my favorites once a week or so. Well the third book arrives in the stores in January and as I was crusing through I saw she was offering shirts similar to the ones that Mercy wears on the cover of the third book! I HAD TO HAVE ONE... well three actually... ::cough cough:: HEY! One is for my sister.. the other two are for me. So I placed the order right then and there.
A few weeks later I write and ask about the status, normally they notifiy you within a few days. I had fallen through the cracks accidently. They were in the process of reording and would have them sent out soon. I was corresponding to her husband, who was the nicest guy possible.
TODAY they arrived!!! Not only are they so very awesome, but she sent me a gift too! A signed copy of Bloodbound! The second in the series, she even autographed and personalized it for me! I am so very stoked!!! (pictures below)
So now I am even more anxious for it to come out and can not wait!

Why be you destashifying such yarnilicious stuff you may ask?
Welp I will tell you!!!
Hubby tells his Wierdlings, thats me, today they are going on a cruise at the beginning of the year! We are getting fast fast passports to make sure we have them in time as well as have to put down/payoff the cruise by the end of the November. Yes, I have several more weeks, but I need to start saving up now!
So included in my yarn purge is Yarn Pirate, Yarn Pirate Booty Club Yarn, Loopy Ewe Sock Club Yarn, and Spunky Eclectic Yarn Club. All are from a smoke free home and while I do have two fur kitty babies, they do not get near this yarn.
I will be charging the prices that I paid for them as well as first class mail priority post mail, normally $4.60. If you happen to live outside of the US, I will have to check into those fees.
This is a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE destashing with PayPal being the go between. If you do not have PayPal I am very sorry I can not take Credit Cards nor am I looking to trade skeins for other stuff. I need cash baby!
HOW TO's....
- Send me an Email with the name of those that you are interested in
- I will check to see if its still available. If it is, I will prepare a PayPal Invoice and send it to you.
- You pay the Invoice and I send it on the next business day
- IF payment is not received in 24 hours, the skein will be reposted.
I have taken pictures of all the yarn and grouped them into similar catagories. I am also including a link to a larger picture so that you can see more depth and color and I have listed the information on the labels too.

Yeah for Entrelac!
The class was just the right size and we were all around the same skill level so that the pace was smooth and easy. Many of the ladies also are on Ravelry and I got to share my obsession with Lime and Violet too. ::chuckle:: At the end we were all writing down our blog spaces and sharing email information. Granted the class discount for purchasing other yarn was really sweet too.
I would encourage anyone to seek classes such as this to expand and push your knitting. I can no longer call myself a novice knitter! WHEEE!!!

Having A Bad Day Swap - Lime N Violet
So we have this great community at the Lime n Violet Message Boards. One of the ladies recommended a 'Having A Bad Day Swap' and many of us jumped on the idea and joined. My partner Jenny143 sent me an awesome package and even included my furry babies in her thoughtfulness. Below are a few pic of them playing with their presents... some of which I still can not find once they got their furry paws on them.

Death of the Doughboy
Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch.
The grave site was piled high with flours. Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he still was a crusty old man and considered a positive roll model for millions.
Doughboy is survived by his wife Play-Dough, two children, John Dough and Jane Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart. The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.
<~* Hope you liked the chuckle as much as I did when a co-worker shared this with me *~>

Kitty P*rn
And of course, this is why I will never have my computer desk to myself... Perhaps once I move in the bookshelves, they will migrate over to them instead. Its really hard to play online, surf for yarn p*rn, and update the blog with a furry blob in the way... Here is Jinx keeping me away from the Yarnie Luciousness of The Loopy Ewe!
