The Cheshire Clapotis

So I have finally broke down and taken on the new project of the Clapotis. I determined how much yardage I needed and purchased it from MYC... last night I cast it on.

It did not take but 5 rows to see that something was happening... right before my eyes, the Cheshire Cat was looking at me!

::blink blink::

I am going to call it the 'Cheshire Clapotis' when it is done! Woot... into round 4 of the increases. Boy its coming along fast!

Spring Purse Knit Kit Swap

mood: Upbeat
music/podcast: Lime N Violet #30

YEAH! I received my partner for the Spring Purse Knit Kit and I am so very excited. Her name is Shannin. Pretty isn't it! Anyhows Shannin has given me permission to surprise her and that is exactly what I am going to do.

I also received a nice email from my Sending Partner, Laura, and she sounds really super nice as well. I can't wait to get my package in the mail and have it go to NY. I shall post some pics of her kit once she receives it.

For A Few Demons More

I totally consumed that book yesterday! Picked it up from Borders and ate my way through it in about 4 hours. My hubby is a bit miffed because now he has to hear me lament until the next is published. ::le sigh::

It was too good though and I am going to have to reread it this weekend to see if I missed anything.

Next on my list? The last of the Red Hot Vampires by Katie MacAlister...

The Last of the Red Hot Vampires
Signet
April 3, 2007
ISBN 978-0451220851

Physicist Portia Harding's life is grounded in facts. There's nothing that can't be explained by logic and science...until she travels with her best friend to England and accidentally summons an ethereal virtue who bequeaths her gift of weather control to Portia.

Now Portia is walking around with a literal cloud over her head, and a heart stoppingly handsome maniac trying to kidnap her. But Theo North is no run-of-the-mill lunatic. He's a nephilim - the son of an angel - who needs Portia's help to change his fate. Problem is, Portia's down-to-earth attitude frustrates beings from both heavenly and hellish realms, and gets Theo turned into a vampire. But at least he has Portia to satisfy his newfound hungers...and possibly save his soul.

They Lied! ::sniff sniff::

I was so estatic! Here it was Tuesday, March 13th and both Borders and Waldenbooks had listed Kim Harrison's newest release For A Few Demons More scheduled to come out!

I practically ran there after work, scraped up my $25.00 dollars, as it was still several days until my paycheck, and in I went. I looked up and down, round and round the endcaps, and finally did the unthinkable... I asked for help. ::sigh::

I should have taken it as a sign. The book was pushed back until 3/20. There was many a gnashing of teeth and a teariness of the eyes.
I was not given the gift of patience.

So I wallowed around the store for the next half hour, not really looking at much when I spied a new author and their book..
Real Vampires Have Curves by Gerry Barlett. What a hoot! Granted, I am not totally pacified, but STILL!!!! It was a quick and funny ready. The next book is due out on July 3, 2007 called Real Vampires Live Large and you can bet it is one that I will be watching out for too..

Lime N Violet Yarn Pr*n Swap Questionaire

A. I am gazing at the One Skein book.

A. No themes, but I am turning into a Swap junkie!

10. What is your favorite sort of scent?
A. The stuff from Black Phoenix Alchemy Labs is awesome.. but there is like a 40 day wait on most of their scents. I love 'Bloodlust'. http://www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com/ (Bloodlust - A fiery Martial blend that embodies primal rage, lust for conquest, and all-encompassing desire. Dragon's blood essence, heavy red musk, Indonesian patchouli and swarthy vetiver with a drop of cinnamon. )

A. Sure, can never have enough needles! Bamboo as I do not have any 4, 5, 6 dpns.

A Super Duper Thank Ewe to whom ever my partner is!
HUGS!!!
