Swap Flakers! ARGH!!!

It irks me to high heaven when someone signs up for a swap and then flakes on it. WORSE is when someone organizes the swap and then flakes! Both times they have been given awesome kits.. one even from me and yet they never send their partner's anything. I refuse to have anyone not get something during one of my swaps, so I made a Halloween Sock Kit for my 'flaker's partner and am going to send it off tomorrow. Not only that, but I feel horrible that someone from an earlier swap got stiffed too... so I made a Holiday Sock Kit for her. I hope both ladies like their kits.

As the Holiday Sock Kit lady doesn't know its coming I feel safe in showing you her goodies! I had so much fun picking them out and had just the right sock yarn in my stash too!

Going to post them tomorrow so they should get them within a week, as they are in the USA.

Ate my way through....

This week I have started to knitted a scarf for my youngest brother for Christmas. It is from the website of http://mochimochiland.com/. It is her Toliet Paper pattern, and if you knew my brother, who can be a POOP, you would get the ironic-ness of the gift!

Recent Reading has been fruitful this week... in reverse order...
  1. Dancing with werewolves, by Carole Nelson Douglas
  2. Midnight Alley, The Morganville Vampires Book 3, by Rachel Caine
  3. Holy Smokes, by Katie MacAlister
  4. Creation in Death, (25th book) by JD Robb aka Nora Roberts

Reread...

  1. Naked in Death, (1st book) by JD Robb aka Nora Roberts
  2. The Diamond Throne, by David Eddings
  3. Night Embrace, A Dark-Hunter Novel, by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Not to mention, I have coughed up $25.00 to Library Thing so that I can have a lifetime membership and post more than 200+ books. I plan to add my knitting books next week sometime.

ZOMG!!!!!

Okies... so then I read voraciously as you can tell from the left.. my Librarything is full of all sorts of paranormal reading and there are some great great authors there.. anyway I am the sort that reads as soon as it comes out and then are left high and dry for a year until the next arrives.

Patricia Briggs is one such author.. her Mercy Thompson series has me hanging on every word and never lets me loose until the story is done. Thereby torturing me for another 11 months and 29 days until the next book is available.

I have her site marked and routinely go through my favorites once a week or so. Well the third book arrives in the stores in January and as I was crusing through I saw she was offering shirts similar to the ones that Mercy wears on the cover of the third book! I HAD TO HAVE ONE... well three actually... ::cough cough:: HEY! One is for my sister.. the other two are for me. So I placed the order right then and there.

A few weeks later I write and ask about the status, normally they notifiy you within a few days. I had fallen through the cracks accidently. They were in the process of reording and would have them sent out soon. I was corresponding to her husband, who was the nicest guy possible.

TODAY they arrived!!! Not only are they so very awesome, but she sent me a gift too! A signed copy of Bloodbound! The second in the series, she even autographed and personalized it for me! I am so very stoked!!! (pictures below)

So now I am even more anxious for it to come out and can not wait!
